Let crochet carrots everywhere beware!
Today (and yesterday), I have been busy making guinea pigs. It started out as one, but you know how it goes; first you have one, then you have seven. Ah, well. They were inspired by the guinea pigs I used to have (at least the white one and the dark ones were). They're the same size as a real newborn guinea pig (and seeing that is an awesome thing in itself!).

I'm thinking about making more, selling them (already made), and giving part of the money to the local SPCA. It's run entirely on donations, and taken care of (volunteered) by a very nice retired lady whose only recompense is the satisfaction of taking care of the animals.

Anyways, here they are!

And the back:

There's one in every bunch: ~_^

Guinea-crobatics!

After all that work at the photo op, the tired guinea pigs take a moment to chow down. You can't see from this angle, but the crochet carrot I made them has a "bite" taken out of it on the side facing the all-brown guy:

EDIT FEB 24: Okay, so there was this crochet thread. And this hook. I couldn't help it. =_=;;

Thus, 'Goliath' was born. Er... hooked?

He's a grand total of 1 1/4" (3cm) long, and just too cute for words. ^_^

Here he is from the side:

And a 3/4 view. He does have a fully detailed face like his bigger friends, but thanks to the camera flash, you can't actually tell:

Here's a picture of his underside. Like his bigger friends, he has the cutest little feet! ^_^
